Meters open 7 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm. At 5 pm, Beauvoir is the retirement home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis. When Davis lived there, the complex was about 608 acres (today, the site is about 52 acres). Beauvoir is located in Biloxi, Mississippi, off US 90 from Biloxi Beach. The name "Beauvoir" means "beautiful view". The complex includes a Louisiana ranch-style farmhouse, an arboretum, a former Confederate veteran's home, a modern gift shop, a Confederate soldier museum, the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum, several outbuildings, and historic Confederate cemeteries, including the Tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier. Five of the seven buildings were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and replicas have been rebuilt. Beauvoir House, Presidential Library, Confederate Museum, Historic Civil War Cemetery, Scheduled Events and Arboretum. Located on the historic Tullis-Toledano Estate, this massive tree is one of the oldest and largest live oaks in the region. Overlooking the Back Bay, the Old Brick House exemplifies Biloxi's fusion of American and French Colonial architectural traditions. The property on which the home sits belonged to Jean Baptiste Carquotte, who received a land grant from the Spanish government in 1784. Abandoned by the Biloxi Garden Club in the 1950s, the home is now owned by the City of Biloxi as a historic architectural museum and a community meeting point.

In 1942, Seabees was formed to assist US naval operations by designing, building and operating shore facilities, shipyards, ports, docks and other shore stations. Seabees are considered a vital part of US defense operations during World War II, risking their lives to build ports and airfields around the world, and are known for their pioneering spirit. The museum showcases the roles these unique servicemen played in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Desert Storm, and details their many peacetime duties. Exhibits include uniforms, weapons, flags, supplies, newspaper clippings, photographs and more.

The Landing of d'Iberville King Louis XIV decided that the Crown should establish a more permanent stake in this vast area, and Pierre Le Moyne de Sieur d'Iberville was commissioned to plant a colony somewhere near the mouth of the Mississippi River. In October 1698 he sailed from the French port of Brest with about 200 colonists on board. Six months later, he reached Biloxi Bay and made landfall on the east coast. It was then, on April 8, 1699, that Duiberville chose the site of present-day Ocean Springs to build a fort for the first French settlement in the Louisiana colony. There, the colony established the first European settlement on the lower Mississippi River, as well as the seat of government for a territory stretching from the Ohio River to Yellowstone. Fort de Maurepas only lasted three years until it was decided that Mobile Bay would become a more strategic location for the colony. A reenactment of the d'Iberville landing is staged every year. Opened in 1991 in historic Ocean Springs, Mississippi, visiting the Walter Anderson Museum of Art (WAMA) is a fascinating and unique experience. WAMA is dedicated to celebrating the work of Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965), an American master whose depictions of the flora, fauna and people of the Gulf Coast placed him at the forefront of 20th-century American painters. xx; with his brothers Peter Anderson (1901-1984), master potter and founder of Shearwater Pottery; and James McConnell Anderson (1907-1998), noted painter and ceramicist. The three Anderson brothers' watercolors, drawings, paintings, prints, ceramics, and prints are displayed in the museum's permanent collection. A variety of temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year, many of which feature the work of other leading artists. The warm, light interior of the museum's Southern Ponderosa Pine includes a main gallery and two additional galleries that reflect the natural beauty and simplicity of its surroundings. Adjacent to the museum is the Ocean Springs Community Center, home to the largest Walter Anderson mural.
